well thats it folks... i must say that we were blessed with safety and had an amazing time - we bonded and played a lot of great shows - met new friends and have networks for next time. we can't wait to get on the road again!

edmonton - this is dean thinking he'll be able to sleep on this uncomfortable chair all night... no such luck. he didn't sleep a wink all night.

you'll note the lead singer of fluid is wearing a shirt of a band i know... those shirts we made while we were on tour - chains (dean) did a great job making them!

Fluid at the urban lounge. Fluid was band from Ottawa that we played with in Edmonton. They were great! we had a good time getting to know them and checking out their sound. this is a shot of the bassist going hard.

This is a great story. Throughout our tour we were really blessed with our homestay families preparing breakfasts for us and feeding us and dinner and such. However - when the band had to buy a meal we tried to keep it as cheap as possible. This meal included honey ham sandwiches with lettuce and honey mustard - two each. Then for desert i had an apple and then a banana. I also asked for a knife with a lot of peanut butter so i could enjoy peanut butter and banana and i would lick the peanut butter off the knife. 2 of my other band mates really liked that idea so they enjoyed that as well. This is where we stored the knives after washing them with antibacterial 'wet ones' (thanks mom) so that they wouldn't be lost for next time - unfortuneatly this plan didn't work so well as soon after thinking of this clever idea they got bumped to the ground never to be found again... :(

CLBI - we played at a small bible school for 50 students - it was a blast - probably the highlight of the tour for me. Also got to see my sister Aimee and brother bear Lance. We played in one of the classrooms and lit the stage with lamps from aimee's house!

the perfect pack. with all our gear - drums, 2 guitar amps, 1 bass amp, 5 guitars, 2 basses - and all our luggage - the van was pretty full. the trailer hitch was an unpleasant suprise on a number of occasions.

this old dude was awesome! rocking witht he ukelele or however you spell it... playing poly rythyms with all his fingers... insane!

killing time at the sidetrack. we got to our first venue in edmonton early. he we are having dinner - dean and I dared kris to eat this - it looks like there is a maggot in there! ewwww. he ate it.

pancakes! We stayed with the Aicken family in Calagary Alberta and Corrine made us Pancakes for breakfast. Way too many! we decided to take the leftovers on the road. But they were still warm when she put them in the plastic bag and were getting all sweaty. I suggested that we line them up on the dash of the van to airdry - worked like a charm!!

Movies make it better. We watched a pile of dvd's on the tour - those 8-10 hr drives can be something fierce!

the perfect pump. i was teasing glenn about trying to get an even litre pump - i was like 'stop at 40' and sure enough, he just let go - didn't even slow down! and the litre mark has 3 decimal places! unreal! and look at the gas price - 122.9 good grief1

if glenn wasn't playing a guitar, football, or peeing while he was out of the van he was probably doing this! so many times during the tour i would look over at glenn doing handstand pushups

peebreak. football was a favourite past time during these stretch breaks. over the course of the 7 days we were gone we put on nearly 5000 kilometers on the van.

So, as many of you know, i play in a rock band called STERR. this past week we had the opportunity of going on a successful western canadian tour. We had a blast - these are some photos showing our journey and the adventure we have. This is of Dean (drums) and his GPS tracking system. We had his laptop along and we were able, with this device, to track our exact location on his computer map. This device was so accurate that it would even show lane changes on bigger roads.

Halla! Shout it out from the rooftop of the Mighty Blue Beast (all 3 of us are up there!) Midnight Madness Grilled Cheese Gladness was a Success!! We all had a really good time. Thanks Rocko's for being such a sweet action place for an adventure destination. Whats next? not sure - perhaps an action adventure to Saskatchewan and back.... hmmm....
