no resonance in this kick drum! when we go to camrose for rehearsal we found the kit that Kenton would be using for tour. We immediately took it apart because we could hear that there was a lot of 'dampening' going on. Inside were these blankets!! keeping all the air inside the drum from moving and keeping it from sounding good! we remedied the issue!

We saw this view for about an hour and a half on a layover in the calagary airport. BUT! we met Earl Hughes (earlhughes.com) he says he's the first canadian to record dualing banjos. haha!

Calagary airpot... Well folks - last wednesday Myself and Kenton departed abbotsford and headed to Camrose alberta where we would meet up with my brother in law - Lance Odegard for a small western canadian tour. Here are a handful of shots from that trip!

Thats it for now anyways. i'm pretty tuckered out today. My band had a big all ages show here in abbotsford with the band Lillix. It went really well - tons of people showed up and we got to play a lot of new material. I forgot to eat this morning though - so i'm feeling really sick and i have a major headache. hope you are all doing well.

After pizza at ChuckECheese we had hoped to go see a movie - however, we couldn't come upon one that we both wanted to see.... soooooo....... what'd we do? drove to superstore to get socks - and in turn, boxers that we could wear over our pants while bowling..... what a bunch of dorks we are. . . the following are some sweet shots that i hope i never have to show anyone again....

SHOWTIME! remember the good ol' days of chuck e cheese? with the cool robotic concert show thing? (thats what i've heard anyways...) well the only show now was this dumb guy and 3 tv screens. what a dissapointment. :(

Now lets be honest - is this animal not a freaky beast or what?!? sheesh. I used to have nightmares as a kid that a Rat would come down into my play pen and try to get me to follow him up this freaky latter - there are two real-life things that remind me of the rat from my recurring dreams - Chuck e cheese and Risky Rat from the Psalty kids videos.

so here I am trying this blog thing again... The other day in an attempt to be creatively social my friend alyssa and I ventured to a little ol' kids place called CEC. (chuck e cheese)
